Schedule: Saturday/Sunday/Holidays
Saturdays: 10AM-4:30 PM Through April
9AM-5PM beginning in May
Sundays: 11AM-4:00 PM
Holidays: 12 Noon -5:00 PM
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Schedules and conducts tours for visitors and monitors exhibits.
Communicates Boys Town history and points of interest for a wide variety of people, answers questions related to Boys Town history, and conducts tours upon request.
Monitors exhibition floor and audiovisual displays, arranges merchandise into displays, and monitors literature displays.
Serves as reference source for visitors and callers by answering inquiries on phone or in person regarding services; redirects telephone calls to appropriate departments as needed.
Maintains and provides proper security for the Hall of History and Father Flanagan House.
Opens the Hall of History and Father Flanagan House and ensures that they are secured at night.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
Extensive knowledge of Boys Town history.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to speak comfortably in front of large groups of strangers in an articulate, professional manner.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous work experience to include customer service or tourism preferred.
