Sr Software Quality Analyst

Leads the quality assurance effort for company products. Works closely with the business analyst, development team, end users and other internal departments such as Information Security and Internal Audit, to ensure that products meet the highest quality standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements.

  • Documents test execution results and offers observations and improvement recommendations.

  • Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verifications and regression testing.

  • Conducts usability and user experience testing and provides insights to enhance the software’s intuitiveness.

  • Performs exploratory tests to uncover defects and validate the software’s behavior in real-world user interactions.

  • Develops and maintains automated tests.

  • Executes SQL to ensure data is persisted correctly in databases.

  • Determines test data needed for execution and identifies data gaps in the test environment.

  • Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test case development and result reporting processes.

  • Builds relationships with business function partners, understands their objectives, and establishes trust and dialogue on how to support those needs.

  • Effectively communicates across business and technology teams to understand project goals and objectives, solutions, and constraints.

  • Collaborates with the product owner, business analyst, and other departments, such as Information Security and Internal Audit, to ensure that all requirements are met.

  • Mentors and provides training assistance to QA analysts.

­­­­­KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel and non-technical users using written, audio and visual forms of communication.

  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies.

  • Experience with integration testing.

  • Proven track record of delivering solutions to meet business needs.

  • Proven ability to write effective test plan documentation.

  • Experience with MS SQL databases.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • Ability to take ownership of a project and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet established deadlines.

  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium/Cucumber/Katalon.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance experience in Agile Development.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with web-based application testing.

  • Experience managing project timelines, resources, deliverables, and constraints required.
