Sr Clinical Systems Data Analyst
Job ID REQ-2024-3681 Omaha, NebraskaMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Designs and develops Data Solutions: Leads the design, development, and implementation of databases, dashboards, and advanced reports for various healthcare stakeholders (clinical, operational, financial).
Analyzes complex requirements: Translates complex healthcare-specific data and reporting requirements into actionable solutions. Research, propose, and implement innovative approaches to address reporting challenges.
Manages data projects: Manages multiple data-related projects simultaneously. Prioritizes effectively, sets clear timelines, and communicates progress transparently to stakeholders.
Troubleshoots and supports: Provides expert-level troubleshooting support for clinical systems. Resolves complex data issues, documents solutions, and optimizes system performance.
Acts as a data governance champion: Contributes to the organization's data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, integrity, and adherence to healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data analytics and reporting best practices in the healthcare industry. Proactively identifies and implements new technologies and methodologies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Highly analytical with a demonstrated ability to solve complex data-related problems.
Mastery of SQL, relational databases, data warehousing, BI tools (e.g., MS Sql, Oracle, Power BI), and experience with healthcare-specific data systems (e.g., Epic).
Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple tasks independently and within a team setting.
Understanding of clinical terminology, workflows, and healthcare data standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7 years of IT experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of database experience required.
Ability to provide after hours and on-call support required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare technology, including Epic Clarity and Caboodle experience preferred.
Epic certifications in Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle preferred.
Epic application experience preferred.
