Supervises a team of School Support Specialists ensuring delivery of high-quality services to schools. Coordinates and delivers in-person/virtual training solutions and supports schools in implementation of the Boys Town Education Model.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Plans, implements, and coordinates the daily operations of Education Services.

  • Coordinates, and monitors learning interventions for educator agency in-service trainings and supervisor consultation trainings including scheduling, assigning, and revising workshops, role play groups, and trainings.

  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates School Support Specialists.

  • Helps School Support Specialist learn and develop by transferring skills, providing developmental opportunities, coaching, and providing encouragement to take risks and try new things.

  • Presents training programs, workshops, or projects leveraging technology to deliver training as required by contracts and coordinating with supervisor and National Training to ensure training maintains fidelity to the Boys Town Education Model, most recent updates, and educational trends.

  • Presents, supervises, and monitors the quality of trainings, workshops, role play groups, and sections for accuracy and consistency.

  • Utilizes own vehicle to travel locally to conduct training and to consult with or observe staff.

  • Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and data collection systems. Develops community education partnerships with an emphasis on growing the programs, including higher education teaching opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Strong relationship building and collaborative skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects in parallel while maintaining quality standards.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and external contacts by phone, in person, or through correspondence in an articulate, professional manner.

  • Demonstrated capabilities to select, motivate, evaluate, and develop personnel.

  • Ability to successfully lead a team of School Support Specialists and to supervise student and family intervention services, be knowledgeable of, and comply with, Boys Town and school policies.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and conduct training programs and consultation to schools usingand being mindful of current trends in education.

  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to make necessary adaptations to content, time, or audience.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Strong knowledge of Boys Town model preferred.

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, education, psychology, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of lead or training experience required.

  • Able to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job required.

  • Meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or State and Local laws required.

  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record required.

  • Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working within a community based or campus-based setting preferred.

  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
