Research Recruitment Coord

Screens, assesses, and recruits potential research study participants and complete any related paperwork. Develops recruitment strategies and maintains relationships to facilitate a connection to a potential research study.

Part Time: 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. (30 hours per week)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Recruits and screens potential research participants.

  • Works directly with Research staff to develop strategies and advertisements to implement in recruiting research participants.

  • Handles telephone and electronic inquiries from potential research participants.

  • Develops reports and tracking mechanisms to track potential participants.

  • Conducts initial interviews with potential research participants to assess alignment with research studies.

  • Receives incoming inquiries to facilitate a connection to a potential Boys Town research study and coordinates the transfer to the designated contact within Research.

  • Maintains knowledge of research studies, eligibility requirements.

  • Makes determination on potential research study match based on the information from the potential research participant and the research studies available, coordinates contacts, and communicates to appropriate staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.

  • Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.

  • Ability to communicate concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.

  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.

  • Ability to work with human study participants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in recruitment of participants for research studies required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of transfer or hire required.

  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification within 30 days of transfer or hire required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
